Dusky Coral Pea

General description

Large vigorous evergreen vine. Oval leaves in groups of three alternately spaced on stem. Leaves have brown hair on lower surface. Dull red pea type flowers 35 x 15 mm. Pea-like flattened seed pods 50-100mm.

Terrestrial. In sun and semi-shade.

Birds, water, gravity

Suppresses growth and replaces native species by shading and smothering.

Site management

Recommended approaches

1. Dig out smaller infestations.
2. Cut near ground and stump paint (Vigilant gel).
