General description

Perennial daisy, leaf upper surface shiny, lower surface white, hairy. Sprawling stems, old leaves deciduous (G. rigens), stems rhizomatous, old leaves persisting (G. linearis), Yellow or orange flowers, usually with a dark, white-centred blotch at the base.

Coastal dunes, cliffs, roadsides.

Wind, vegetative.

Competes with and replaces native plants.

Site management

Recommended approaches

1. Dig out small infestations.
2. Spray (40ml clopyralid + 20ml penetrant/10L). Do not use clopyralid in home gardens.
